SPEED SKATING OPEN HOUSE AT THE RINKS – LAKEWOOD ICE
THE RINKS – Lakewood ICE will be hosting its inaugural Speed Skating Open House at THE RINKS – Lakewood ICE on April 26 from 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. This event is open to participants of all ages, as Lakewood ICE will provide instruction for children and adults alike.

The Speed Skating Open House will begin at 4:00pm. Registrants will meet with instructors for 15 minutes before enjoying a half-hour speed skating lesson, followed by an exhibition race and practice session.

The Open House offers children and adults the chance to learn the basics of speed skating during a supervised on-ice session. Participants will be provided with skates and other essential equipment prior to the 1-hour session.

MONDAY NIGHT ADULT SKILLS CLINIC
Monday Night Adult Skills Clinics at The Rinks Lakewood ICE are from 7:20pm to 8:20pm. These weekly sessions offer professional instruction from our Rinks Coaching Staff. The cost is $20 per participant - pay as you skate! Full gear is required. For more information contact The Rinks Lakewood ICE at 562-429-1805, ext. 221.

FAMILY SKATE NIGHTS
Join The Rinks – Lakewood ICE every Sunday night from 5:00pm – 7:00pm for their Family Skate Night. The night includes 4 admissions, skate rentals, and 4 small hot chocolates for only $25!

ANAHEIM DUCKS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM
The Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play Program presented by Bauer is back, giving all first-time hockey players the chance to get on the rink (ice or inline) in full hockey equipment for FREE!  Participants receive instruction from The Rinks coaching staff on how to skate properly while implementing some of the basic skills in hockey such as passing, shooting, and stick handling.

The Learn to Play Program is a (4) four week session geared toward participants 10 years old and younger (due to equipment sizes). Each participant is provided with an equipment bag, helmet, shin guards, hockey pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, stick and a jersey, which they get to keep during the duration of the session, giving them the opportunity to practice what they have learned between each session. Skate rentals are provided for free at each rink as well. The use of full hockey equipment allows participants to get the feel of skating in full hockey gear, allowing them to experience the sport as a whole without taking on the financial commitment of purchasing all the equipment.
 
Participants who complete the Learn to Play program and continue on to a paid program within The Rinks will receive a FREE, complete set of Mission/Bauer equipment to keep courtesy of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.
